About Jane

Hello, I’m Jane. Animals have always been an important part of my life. I can’t imagine life without dogs! And I want dogs happy and eager to work with us. A well-trained dog is truly a joy, and the relationship between that dog and his human is extraordinary.

How do we develop the relationship we want with our dogs?

Our relationship with our dogs can, and should, be built on mutual trust and respect. Training a dog, whether good manners, obedience, agility, freestyle, as a pet or working dog, a service or therapy dog, whatever. . .should be fun for the dog and trainer. Motivation is key–finding what makes the dog eager to work.

I see many dogs who are not happy with training. I see many owners who feel they need to impose their will on the dog. People tell me their dogs are stubborn, defiant, bored with training.

These dogs and people can find more joy and success in training, and I want to help them do it!

Dog Training Fun equals Dog Training Success!

My aim is to help folks find ways to communicate with their dogs, have fun with their dogs, and have dogs with the training and manners they desire. If you just want your dog to not knock the neighbors down, or drag you down the street on your walks, or if you want a lot more training than that, perhaps in a special field, you need to start with good communication with your dog, an understanding of how he learns, and what motivates him. That’s what we are doing on this website.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.  Or if you prefer to contact me directly, you can at jane@goodtimesdogtraining.com.
